VIN#119300031

Guards Red with black interior. It was originally a silver car. RS conversion with few miles on restoration. The rear fender flares are metal with fiberglass bumpers. The car has scores of new parts. Front pan and longitudinals were replaced. All care has been taken to restore the chassis to a rust free condition. I have a duck tail for those purists but it would need refinishing. The car is at the end of an 18 month long restoration.

The car was imported in the early 80's by a friend. He had the engine rebuilt, sued the shop and received punitive damages. Then, Hal Crossland again rebuilt the engine and transmission. The owner began restoring the body, lost interest and sold it to me. I assembled it and drove it several years, then decided to do a proper restoration. Dan Arms did the body and paint work. You can call him at 423-698-3007 for any questions about the restoration. German Auto in Knoxville, Tennessee recently did a leak-down and all cylinders were 2% or less. The car runs nicely, has good power and is a lot of fun. German Auto can be reached at 865-539-3414. The Engine has been updated with Webbers and oil fed tensioners.

The car has stock front torsion bars and 28 mm rears. It has 22 mm front sway bar. The rear is a quality after-market (Weltmeister, I think) bar. It is the bolt in type as the car came with the rare comfort option ( ? ) which deleted the sway bars and added the wonderful hydro-pneumatic front suspension. The front suspension has been updated to Koni struts with the standard aluminum S calipers. It has not been lowered too low and rides very well.

Please call Dan Arms, German Auto or myself for more information if seriously interested. Please remember we are Eastern time and call before 10PM. Thanks!!
